LCL stands for Lost Coin Legends.
LCL is the Lost Coin Legends mobile app: a GPS and AR treasure hunting experience where real places, historical legends, field dossiers, clue solving, community funding, and virtual treasure reveals come together in live expeditions.

This is not just another walking app.
LCL™ is a mobile adventure app that transforms historical legends, frontier routes, local mysteries, and cultural landmarks into real-world GPS and AR expeditions. It is a living map of stories created by player contributors and sponsors, and a way to move through real places with more curiosity and purpose. Not the extrovert or outdoors type? Join the Lore™ community, create historical checkpoints, and collect unique rewards.
02 / Pilot expeditions
The first pilot expeditions
Pilot expeditions begin in TBD cities.
LCL pilot expeditions will begin in TBD cities, with launch locations selected around sponsor support, local story strength, player demand, and safe approved expedition zones. Kit Karson’s Frontier remains the first featured pilot legend, with its launch city and field route to be announced.
Community funding means LCL sets aside a share of subscription revenue to fund selected expeditions, chosen by where players are and how much the community has built, and sponsors can add to a reward or fund one outright. A subscription pays for app access, including Lore Mode™ and Collector Mode™. It is never an entry fee: no purchase is necessary to play or win.
As they approach the hidden GPS/AR signal, the app guides them with radar, haptic feedback, and a final AR reveal. Pilot expedition launch dates are TBD and will be announced once activation thresholds, city approvals, and field logistics are confirmed.
Finder rewardsFirst 100
The first 100 verified finders are eligible for rewards. After each verified find, the expedition chest respawns to a new approved GPS/AR location inside the expedition zone, allowing more explorers to participate.

Collector Mode™
Search the map, find the clues, and keep up with the legends from anywhere while earning XP and exclusive rewards.
XP Expeditions
Trail-based adventures built for repeat play. Follow real-world routes, earn checkpoint XP, complete trail chests, climb seasonal leaderboards, and compete for top-100 season rewards.
X Marks™
Classic X Marks the Spot mode created by approved contributors and sponsors. Gather resources, plan, and wait for thresholds to release legendary treasure hunt locations.
Community-Funded Expeditions
Players subscribe to create legends and explore them. LCL selects some of the community's expeditions for real funding, based on local demand and total subscription revenue, and sponsors can fund a reward or create one of their own. Every verified find pays: GLC for treasure hunts and collectibles, XP on trails, plus a stated pot on funded expeditions. Sponsors can earn promotional exposure, foot traffic near their reveal, and, by agreement, a share of subscriptions for a set time or a one-time payment. Sponsors and creators can't win what they fund. No purchase necessary.
